This is sitting on the bed, looking towards the door.
His refrigerator is on the right, the door to the
bathroom is on the left.

He says he has plenty of shelving.  I say it's a good thing he's well
over six feet tall or he'd not be able to reach anything.  There is no closet,
so all his clothing is kept in his shelves.  He maintains that since he has fewer
"things" than at home that it feels about the same as his room here.

Here's his bed, complete with the pillow his mama got finished
before he left.  You'll note there *is* a smoke detector.
The curtains open to reveal a small balcony.

His desk and new laptop that he got in the nick of time before he left.
He can connect to HAL at home (2001: A Space Odyssey reference) if he needs to.
It's not the setup he has at home, but it seems to suit his needs.

This is the little ledge where you are to take off your shoes
in the Japanese fashion.  Steven reports he finds it more
useful to trip over.  I'm glad the bed is there to fall on.
